I live on the family farm in Arkansas. I raise a herd of registered Nubian dairy
goats. We also have a herd of Missouri Foxtrotter horses. We raise bantam
chickens for tick and other bug control.

The picture below was taken 6/15/07. It is the dirt road that I live on about
a 1/4 mile from my driveway. See how the trees grow over the road which
forms a canopy? During the summer this shades the road, in the late fall this
will die off and all of the foliage will die back.

June and July is hay season. The picture below was taken of the old barn
down the road. You can see a couple round bales that have been left in the field.
The hay is cut and baled in round bales to be fed to the cows during the winter.
We use round bales for the horses and goats too!

Because of the heat, and drought that we have dealt with the last few years,
hay has been in short supply. We have been particularly blessed this year
to be able to get a pretty good cutting. We had a late frost which had killed
the early growth and the hay crop had to start over. We have had several rain
storms in mid June which has caused the fields to "green up" pretty
quickly. We should expect another cutting before fall.

This page is a work in progress, because farm life is always changing too!
To the left, there are buttons that will take you to another page. I will have
other pictures and little blurbs on those pages to share more about the
animals on the farm.
